Background

FCGR1A (Fc gamma receptor Ia), also known as CD64, is a high-affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies. It plays a crucial role in immune responses by binding to the Fc portion of IgG, mediating various immune functions such as phagocytosis, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and immune complex clearance. FCGR1A is predominantly expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells, as well as on neutrophils during inflammatory responses.
