Background

DDB1 and CUL4 associated factor 4 like 2 (DCAF4L2) is a paralog of DCAF4 and functions as a substrate receptor within the CUL4-DDB1 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. DCAF4L2, like other members of the WD40 protein family, contains WD40 repeat domains that facilitate substrate recognition and protein-protein interactions, enabling it to mediate the ubiquitination and degradation of specific target proteins.
