Human Chromosome 11 Open Reading Frame 51 (ANAPC15) ELISA Kit is an ELISA Kit for the in vitro quantitative measurement of Human Anaphase Promoting Complex Subunit 15 (ANAPC15) concentrations in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

Background

ANAPC15 is a core component of the Anaphase-Promoting Complex/Cyclosome (APC/C) that functions to stabilize the catalytic module of the complex. ANAPC15 interacts with ANAPC11, the RING finger subunit, and E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes to support the ubiquitination of key cell cycle regulators such as cyclin B and securin. ANAPC15 ensures the proper activation of APC/C during mitosis, facilitating the degradation of substrates required for the metaphase-to-anaphase transition. Dysregulation of ANAPC15 can impair the proteolytic activity of the APC/C, resulting in defective chromosome segregation, mitotic arrest, and genomic instability. Such defects are associated with tumorigenesis and cell proliferation abnormalities. Its function as part of the catalytic core highlights ANAPC15’s essential role in maintaining cell cycle fidelity and preventing aneuploidy.
