Descripción
CRYBG3 is a lesser-characterized protein within the beta-gamma crystallin domain family, with potential roles in cytoskeletal maintenance, stress tolerance, and protein stability. It is expressed in several tissues, including the lens, muscles, and nervous system, suggesting diverse biological functions. CRYBG3 may act as a structural or chaperone-like protein, helping maintain cellular integrity during stress. Although its specific physiological functions are not well defined, dysregulation of CRYBG3 is suspected to contribute to diseases involving cytoskeletal defects, oxidative stress, and aging-related processes. Further research is required to elucidate its roles in both normal physiology and pathological conditions.
