Note
THIS PRODUCT IS FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY. NOT FOR USE IN DIAGNOSTIC, THERAPEUTIC OR COSMETIC PROCEDURES. NOT FOR HUMAN OR ANIMAL CONSUMPTION.
To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in 20 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in 20 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex.
Concentration: Prior to lyophilization: 200 µg/ml

Descripción

ABCC2, also known as multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 (MRP2), is an ATP-binding cassette transporter primarily expressed on the apical membrane of hepatocytes, where it plays a vital role in bile secretion and detoxification. ABCC2 mediates the ATP-dependent transport of conjugated bilirubin, xenobiotics, and drug metabolites into bile, contributing to the excretion of potentially harmful compounds. It is also expressed in other tissues, such as the kidney and intestine, where it supports renal and intestinal excretion. Mutations in ABCC2 are associated with Dubin-Johnson syndrome, a rare inherited disorder characterized by impaired bilirubin transport and conjugated hyperbilirubinemia. ABCC2’s role in drug efflux and detoxification makes it a significant player in drug pharmacokinetics, impacting drug absorption, distribution, and elimination.
