Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
AGAP7P is classified as a pseudogene of the AGAP family, meaning it likely does not produce a functional protein due to genetic mutations or deletions that disrupt transcription or translation. However, as a pseudogene, AGAP7P may still have regulatory functions at the RNA level, such as modulating the expression of related genes through competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) mechanisms. AGAP7P is thought to have arisen from duplication events of functional AGAP genes, retaining homologous sequences that include regions similar to the GTPase-activating protein (GAP) domain, ankyrin repeats, and PH domain seen in other AGAP family members. Although it does not have a known functional role, its presence in certain tissues suggests potential involvement in gene expression regulation or as a genomic marker for evolutionary studies.
