Descripción

ANKRD37 is a protein known to be induced under hypoxic conditions, making it a hypoxia-responsive protein. It contains multiple ankyrin repeat domains that mediate its role in protein-protein interactions and intracellular signaling. ANKRD37 is believed to participate in cellular stress responses, particularly in regulating pathways that adapt cells to low-oxygen environments. Its expression is associated with angiogenesis, cell survival, and metabolic adaptation under hypoxia, making it relevant in processes such as tumor progression and ischemic responses. Dysregulation of ANKRD37 has been observed in certain cancers, where its overexpression may contribute to the cellular adaptation to hypoxic tumor microenvironments. This highlights its role as a potential marker for hypoxia-driven pathologies.
