Descripción
ANKRD36C is a protein containing multiple ankyrin repeat domains, which mediate protein-protein interactions. ANKRD36C belongs to the extended ANKRD36 family and is believed to play a role in immune regulation and signal transduction. While its biological role remains incompletely defined, it is suggested to contribute to intracellular signaling pathways, possibly influencing cellular responses to stress and inflammation. ANKRD36C is expressed in immune-related tissues, linking it to processes such as inflammatory signaling and immune cell activation. Dysregulation of ANKRD36C expression may impact cellular homeostasis and has been tentatively associated with autoimmune disorders and immune dysfunction. Its role as a scaffold protein underscores its involvement in maintaining signaling integrity.
