Descripción

ANKRD33B is a close paralog of ANKRD33, with structural similarities including multiple ankyrin repeat motifs that mediate protein-protein interactions. ANKRD33B has been implicated in nuclear processes, particularly in regulating chromatin remodeling and transcriptional activity. It may function as a scaffold protein that interacts with key signaling proteins and transcription factors to regulate gene expression. Emerging evidence suggests a role for ANKRD33B in cell proliferation, differentiation, and cellular stress responses. Dysregulation of ANKRD33B has been associated with developmental abnormalities and tumor progression, highlighting its potential role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and genomic stability.
