Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
The alpha-2 adrenergic receptors (ADRA2) are a class of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that respond to the neurotransmitter noradrenaline (norepinephrine) and play a role in regulating various physiological processes. There are three main subtypes of alpha-2 adrenergic receptors: Alpha-2A (ADRA2A), Alpha-2B (ADRA2B), and Alpha-2C (ADRA2C). ADRA2B receptors are found in various tissues, including vascular smooth muscle, the heart, and the pancreas. They are involved in the regulation of vascular tone, cardiac function, and insulin secretion. Activation of ADRA2B receptors leads to vasoconstriction, decreased heart rate, and inhibition of insulin release from pancreatic beta cells. ADRA2B receptors also play a role in modulating neurotransmitter release in the central nervous system.ADRA2C receptors are widely distributed in the central nervous system, as well as in peripheral tissues such as vascular smooth muscle and the heart. They play a role in regulating sympathetic nervous system activity, vascular tone, and cardiac function. Activation of ADRA2C receptors leads to vasoconstriction and decreased heart rate. ADRA2C receptors also modulate neurotransmitter release in the central nervous system.
