We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
ACTA1 encodes for actin alpha 1, a protein that is a key component of the thin filaments in skeletal muscle. ACTA1 is a protein that plays a crucial role in muscle formation and function. Its expression is induced by various stimuli and conditions that promote muscle development. In response to these stimuli, committed cells such as satellite cells undergo fusion to form myotubes, which eventually mature into muscle fibers. The expression of skeletal alpha actin is not only a hallmark of muscle formation but also serves as a trigger for the expression of other "myogenic genes." These genes are essential for the intricate process of muscle development and include factors involved in myoblast differentiation, fusion, and maturation. Therefore, the expression of ACTA1 is pivotal in orchestrating the molecular events necessary for the formation and maintenance of skeletal muscle tissue. The regulation of ACTA1 expression is tightly controlled and is influenced by various signaling pathways and transcription factors involved in muscle development and regeneration. Dysregulation of ACTA1 expression or mutations in the ACTA1 gene can lead to muscle disorders and myopathies, highlighting the critical role of skeletal alpha actin in muscle biology and physiology.

ACTA1-Specific antibody
Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. The ACTA1 gene encodes skeletal muscle alpha-actin, the principal actin isoform in adult skeletal muscle, which interacts with a variety of proteins to produce the force for muscle contraction. There is only the N-termninal 8 amino acids difference among the actin family members. This antibody is specific to the ACTA1. It does not cross-react with other actin isoforms.
