Descripción

SERPINB10, a member of the serpin superfamily of serine protease inhibitors, plays a vital role in regulating proteolytic processes. Proteolytic enzymes are essential for many cellular functions, such as apoptosis, tissue remodeling, inflammation, and immunity. Dysregulation of these processes often leads to pathological conditions like cancer, fibrosis, and inflammatory diseases. Although most serpins inhibit serine proteases, SERPINB10's role extends to modulating intracellular proteolysis in non-canonical functions as well.
