Description
GPX5 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against GPX5. GPX5 belongs to the glutathione peroxidase family. GPX5 protects cells and enzymes from oxidative damage, by catalyzing the reduction of hydrogen peroxide, lipid peroxides and organic hydroperoxide, by glutathione. Catalytic the reaction: 2 glutathione + H2O2 = glutathione disulfide + 2 H2O. GPX5 constitute a glutathionine peroxidase-like protective system against peroxide damage in sperm membrane lipids.
