Description
Glutamic Acid (Glu) Assay Kit is an assay kit for the detection and quantification of Glutamic Acid (Glu) concentrations in serum, plasma, animal tissue homogenates, cell lysates and cell culture supernatants using a spectrophotometer. Glutamic acid can react with NAD+ under the catalysis of glutamate dehydrogenase to produce alpha-ketoglutaric acid, NADH and NH4+. NADH has the maximum absorption at 340 nm. And glutamic acid content can be calculated by measuring the change of NADH.
