Description
EZR (pT567) Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against EZR (pT567). The cytoplasmic peripheral membrane protein encoded by this gene functions as a protein-tyrosine kinase substrate in microvilli. As a member of the ERM protein family, this protein serves as an intermediate between the plasma membrane and the actin cytoskeleton. This protein plays a key role in cell surface structure adhesion, migration and organization, and it has been implicated in various human cancers. A pseudogene located on chromosome 3 has been identified for this gene. Alternatively spliced variants have also been described for this gene.

Descripción
Ezrin (EZR) is a protein that serves as a linker between the plasma membrane and the actin cytoskeleton, playing a key role in maintaining cell shape, motility, and signaling EZR is involved in various cellular processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and the formation of membrane protrusions like microvilli It functions by connecting actin filaments to membrane proteins, facilitating signal transduction and helping to organize cell structures involved in processes like phagocytosis and endocytosis Ezrin is highly expressed in cells such as epithelial cells, neurons, and immune cells, where it plays a crucial role in tissue development, synaptic function, and immune responses Dysregulation of EZR activity is linked to various diseases, including cancer, where aberrant ezrin function contributes to tumor cell metastasis and invasion Additionally, EZR is involved in maintaining the integrity of the blood-brain barrier and regulating synaptic plasticity in neurons, making it essential for both neurological and immune functions
