Descripción

CBLB, another member of the CBL family, shares a similar function to CBL in ubiquitinating target proteins, but it has its unique set of substrates and regulatory roles. CBLB primarily regulates immune cell signaling, particularly in T and B cells, by modulating receptor signaling pathways involved in immune responses. It is involved in the regulation of T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling, and its activity helps in controlling the activation threshold of immune cells. Similar to CBL, CBLB can influence the stability of receptors and other signaling molecules by mediating their degradation. Altered expression or mutations in CBLB can affect immune responses, and it has been linked to autoimmune diseases and immune deficiencies.
