DDB1 and CUL4 associated factor 7 (DCAF7), also known as WDR68, functions as a substrate receptor within the CUL4-DDB1 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex and plays a critical role in protein ubiquitination and degradation. DCAF7 contains WD40 repeats, which facilitate specific protein-protein interactions, allowing the recognition and recruitment of substrates to the E3 ligase complex.
