Descripción
Crk-like protein (CRKL) is another adaptor protein that is structurally similar to CRK but has its own unique functions in cellular signaling. Like CRK, CRKL contains SH2 and SH3 domains, enabling it to interact with a variety of signaling molecules involved in cellular growth, survival, and migration. CRKL is a key component of signaling pathways activated by various RTKs, including those involved in cell differentiation and cytoskeletal remodeling. It plays an important role in cellular responses to growth factors, such as epidermal growth factor (EGF), and is implicated in the regulation of immune cell function. Dysregulation of CRKL has been linked to certain cancers and other diseases where altered cellular signaling occurs.
