| Purification | Mouse L cells were infected with Chlamydia trachomatis LGV type II strain 434 elementary bodies. Optimally infected cells were harvested and disrupted by sonication in PBS. Cellular debris was removed by centrifugation. The antigen preparation was inactivated using gamma radiation, which primarily damages chlamydial genetic material. |
