Descripción
CARD10 is a protein that is part of the caspase recruitment domain (CARD) family. Like other members of this family, it plays a role in mediating immune responses by acting as an adaptor protein in cell signaling pathways. CARD10 is involved in the regulation of the NF-κB pathway, a crucial signaling pathway for immune cell activation, inflammation, and cellular survival. CARD10 is also involved in the regulation of apoptosis, and its function helps maintain immune homeostasis by controlling both cell survival and death. Dysregulation of CARD10 may contribute to various immune-related diseases, including cancers and autoimmune disorders, due to improper regulation of NF-κB and apoptosis. Researchers are investigating how CARD10 could be targeted in therapeutic interventions, especially in diseases characterized by chronic inflammation or immune dysfunction.

Caspase Recruitment Domain-Containing Protein 10 (CARD10) Antibody
The caspase recruitment domain (CARD) is a protein module that consists of 6 or 7 antiparallel alpha helices. It participates in apoptosis signaling through highly specific protein-protein homophilic interactions. Like several other CARD proteins, CARD10 belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family and activates NF-kappa-B (NFKB; see MIM 164011) through BCL10 (MIM 603517) (Wang et al., 2001 [PubMed 11259443]).
