Descripción

BCL2 related protein A1 (BCL2A1) is an anti-apoptotic protein belonging to the Bcl-2 family, which plays a pivotal role in regulating apoptosis by inhibiting mitochondrial cell death pathways BCL2A1 functions by preventing the release of pro-apoptotic factors, such as cytochrome c, from mitochondria, thus blocking the activation of caspases and preventing cell death Its expression is often induced under stress conditions, such as oxidative stress and inflammatory stimuli, to protect cells from apoptosis BCL2A1 has been implicated in various cancers, where its overexpression allows tumor cells to evade apoptosis, promoting tumor survival and metastasis Additionally, BCL2A1 has a role in regulating immune cell function, particularly in maintaining the survival of B cells and T cells under stress Dysregulation of BCL2A1 contributes to immune system dysfunction and resistance to chemotherapy in cancer therapy, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions aimed at promoting cell death in cancer cells

Bcl2-Related protein A1 (BCL2A1) Antibody

BCL2A1 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against BCL2A1. This gene encodes a member of the BCL-2 protein family. The proteins of this family form hetero- or homodimers and act as anti- and pro-apoptotic regulators that are involved in a wide variety of cellular activities such as embryonic development, homeostasis and tumorigenesis. The protein encoded by this gene is able to reduce the release of pro-apoptotic cytochrome c from mitochondria and block caspase activation. This gene is a direct transcription target of NF-kappa B in response to inflammatory mediators, and is up-regulated by different extracellular signals, such as granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), CD40, phorbol ester and inflammatory cytokine TNF and IL-1, which suggests a cytoprotective function that is essential for lymphocyte activation as well as cell survival. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
