Descripción

TNFSF13B Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal against TNFSF13B.

Background

B-cell activating factor (BAFF), also called tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 13B (TNFSF13B) and CD257, is a protein encoded by the TNFSF13B gene in humans. BAFF is also known by other names, including B Lymphocyte Stimulator (BLyS),CD257, TNF- and APOL-related leukocyte expressed ligand (TALL-1). The human BAFF protein consists of two glycosylated domains and one transmembrane domain (amino acids 48-68), and it can undergo cleavage into both membrane-bound and soluble peptide fragments. BAFF is primarily expressed in cells within the B cell lineage and serves as a potent activator of B cells. It plays a crucial role in promoting the proliferation and differentiation of B cells, making it a pivotal cytokine in the immune system's function.
