Description

RAB 31, also named as RAB22b, belongs to small GTP-binding proteins of the RAB family. Rab31 localizes in the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and endosomes. It is required for transport of mannose 6-phosphate receptors (MPRs) from the trans-Golgi network (TGN) to endosomes. This antibody can bind RAB31 specifically, and not react RAB22a.

Descripción

RAB31, member RAS oncogene family (RAB31) is a small GTPase that plays a crucial role in regulating vesicle trafficking between the Golgi and other cellular compartments RAB31 is involved in the sorting of proteins and lipids, ensuring their correct distribution within the cell for the maintenance of proper cellular function It has been implicated in controlling the intracellular distribution of cargo proteins, which is essential for signal transduction, cell surface receptor recycling, and the regulation of cellular growth and migration RAB31 is also involved in cellular processes such as endocytosis and exocytosis, which are critical for maintaining membrane dynamics and extracellular communication Dysregulation of RAB31 can affect these processes and has been linked to conditions such as cancer, where altered vesicular trafficking contributes to tumor progression and metastasis Additionally, RAB31 is thought to play a role in immune responses by regulating the trafficking of immune receptors, which affects the activation and migration of immune cells in response to pathogens or tissue injury

RAB31 antibody

The small GTPases Rab are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from the formation of transport vesicles to their fusion with membranes. Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that is able to recruit to membranes different set of downstream effectors directly responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering and fusion. Required for the integrity and for normal function of the Golgi apparatus and the trans-Golgi network. Plays a role in insulin-stimulated translocation of GLUT4 to the cell membrane. Plays a role in M6PR transport from the trans-Golgi network to endosomes. Plays a role in the internalization of EGFR from the cell membrane into endosomes. Plays a role in the maturation of phagosomes that engulf pathogens, such as S.aureus and M.tuberculosis.
