Cannabinoid receptor interacting protein 1 (CNRIP1) is an intracellular protein that interacts with cannabinoid receptors, specifically CB1 (cannabinoid receptor type 1), which is primarily found in the central nervous system and plays a pivotal role in modulating various physiological processes, including pain perception, appetite, and mood. CNRIP1 is thought to be involved in regulating the signaling pathways of CB1, modulating its activity, and potentially impacting receptor desensitization or internalization.
