Background
CD300LF, also known as CD300 molecule-like family member F, is a receptor protein encoded by the CD300LF gene located on chromosome 17. This protein is part of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily and is predominantly expressed on myeloid cells, including dendritic cells, macrophages, and some subsets of lymphocytes. CD300LF is characterized by its role in regulating immune responses through inhibitory signaling pathways, distinguishing it from other members of the CD300 family that may have activating functions.
