Anoctamin-7 (ANO7) Antibody

Background

ANO7, also known as TMEM16G, is a member of the anoctamin family of proteins with roles in calcium-activated ion transport and cell adhesion. ANO7 is highly expressed in the prostate gland, where it is involved in the regulation of prostate epithelial cell function and contributes to cellular growth and adhesion. Due to its tissue-specific expression, ANO7 has been studied as a biomarker for prostate cancer, where it is overexpressed in certain tumor types and may influence cancer progression, metastasis, and patient prognosis. Mutations in ANO7 have also been associated with increased susceptibility to prostate cancer. Its dual role in ion transport and cell-cell interactions highlights its functional significance in prostate physiology and pathology.
