Background
Alanyl-tRNA Synthetase Domain Containing 1 (AARSD1) is a mitochondrial protein involved in the synthesis of alanyl-tRNA, which is essential for the translation of mitochondrial-encoded proteins. It catalyzes the attachment of alanine to its corresponding tRNA, ensuring proper protein synthesis for mitochondrial function and energy production.
