Background

Adrenomedullin 2 (ADM2), also known as Intermedin, is a member of the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) family. This peptide is widely expressed in various tissues, including the brain, cardiovascular system, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract. ADM2 exerts its biological effects through the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CLR) in association with receptor activity-modifying proteins (RAMPs).
