Descripción
ADCY7 is widely expressed in immune cells, brain, and liver tissues, where it regulates cAMP production. It is activated by G-protein signaling and forskolin and is insensitive to calcium regulation. ADCY7 is involved in immune cell activation, including T cell signaling and macrophage functions. Dysregulation of ADCY7 has been implicated in immune-related disorders, such as autoimmune diseases and inflammation. It is also important for neurotransmission and metabolic processes, highlighting its diverse cellular functions.
