Description
Acid Phosphatase Assay Kit is an assay kit designed for the detection and quantification of Acid Phosphatase activity in serum, plasma and tissue homogenates using a microplate reader. Disodium p-nitrobenzene phosphate (p-NPP), a widely used phosphatase chromogenic substrate, hydrolyzes to p-nitrophenol under the action of acid phosphatase in acidic conditions. Under alkaline conditions, p-nitrophenol is yellow and has a maximum absorption peak at 405 nm. The darker of yellow product is, the higher the acid phosphatase activity. Therefore, the activity of acid phosphatase can be calculated by measuring the OD value at 405 nm.
