Descripción

SWAP70 is a nuclear and cytoplasmic adaptor protein involved in actin cytoskeleton remodeling, signal transduction, and B-cell activation. It functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for Rac1, facilitating actin polymerization and cell shape changes during processes such as immune cell migration, phagocytosis, and endocytosis. SWAP70 plays a critical role in B-cell development, class switch recombination (CSR), and antigen receptor signaling, linking extracellular signals to cytoskeletal rearrangement and nuclear responses. It is expressed in hematopoietic cells, epithelial tissues, and immune cells, where it coordinates cell migration, adhesion, and immune responses. Dysregulation of SWAP70 is associated with autoimmune diseases, cancer metastasis, and inflammatory disorders due to impaired actin regulation and signaling balance. Knockout studies reveal defects in B-cell maturation, impaired immune cell migration, and reduced immune responses, highlighting its essential role in cytoskeletal remodeling, cell signaling, and adaptive immunity.

Switch-Associated Protein 70 (SWAP70) Antibody

Phosphatidylinositol 3, 4, 5-trisphosphate-dependent guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) which, independently of RAS, transduces signals from tyrosine kinase receptors to RAC. It also mediates signaling of membrane ruffling. Regulates the actin cytoskeleton as an effector or adapter protein in response to agonist stimulated phosphatidylinositol (3, 4) bisphosphate production and cell protrusion (By similarity).
