Background

ROR1 (Receptor Tyrosine Kinase-Like Orphan Receptor 1) is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family, playing a pivotal role in embryonic development and cellular signaling. While minimally expressed in normal adult tissues, ROR1 is highly expressed in various cancers, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia and breast cancer, where it contributes to tumor progression, survival, and metastasis. This makes ROR1 a promising therapeutic target in oncology. The receptor participates in Wnt5a-mediated non-canonical Wnt signaling pathways, which regulate cell migration and cytoskeletal dynamics, critical processes during development and pathological states such as cancer.
