Note
The validity for this kit is at least 6 months. Up to 12 months validity can be provided on request. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

Spermidine/Spermine N1 Acetyltransferase 1 (SAT1) is a key enzyme involved in polyamine catabolism, catalyzing the acetylation of spermidine and spermine to produce acetylated derivatives that can be further metabolized or exported from the cell SAT1 regulates cellular polyamine levels, which are critical for processes such as DNA replication, transcription, translation, and cell growth Its activity is tightly controlled to maintain polyamine homeostasis, as imbalances can lead to cell death or uncontrolled proliferation Dysregulation of SAT1 has been associated with various conditions, including cancer, where altered polyamine metabolism supports tumor growth and survival SAT1 is also implicated in neurodegenerative disorders and oxidative stress responses, as polyamine metabolism influences reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and cellular damage Additionally, mutations or overexpression of SAT1 are linked to X-linked disorders such as Snyder-Robinson syndrome, characterized by intellectual disabilities and skeletal abnormalities SAT1 plays an emerging role as a potential therapeutic target for modulating polyamine metabolism in cancer and neurological diseases

Spermidine/Spermine N1-Acetyltransferase 1 (SAT1) Antibody

SAT1 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against SAT1. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the acetyltransferase family, and is a rate-limiting enzyme in the catabolic pathway of polyamine metabolism. It catalyzes the acetylation of spermidine and spermine, and is involved in the regulation of the intracellular concentration of polyamines and their transport out of cells. Defects in this gene are associated with keratosis follicularis spinulosa decalvans (KFSD). Alternatively spliced transcripts have been found for this gene.
