For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
DRD5 is a G protein-coupled receptor of the D1-like dopamine receptor family that couples to Gs proteins, leading to activation of adenylate cyclase and an increase in cyclic AMP (cAMP) levels. DRD5 is highly expressed in limbic brain regions, including the hippocampus, hypothalamus, and cerebral cortex, where it modulates cognition, memory, and emotional behavior. DRD5 has a higher affinity for dopamine compared to DRD1, allowing it to regulate synaptic transmission and plasticity more effectively. It plays a key role in learning, working memory, and behavioral flexibility, with its dysfunction linked to schizophrenia, cognitive deficits, and neurological disorders. DRD5 is also involved in regulating motor function and reward pathways, contributing to the dopaminergic control of behavior. In peripheral tissues, DRD5 is expressed in renal, cardiovascular, and immune systems, where it regulates sodium balance, blood pressure, and immune cell activity. Dysregulation of DRD5 signaling has been associated with hypertension and autoimmune diseases. DRD5 is a potential therapeutic target for neuropsychiatric disorders, cognitive impairment, and cardiovascular dysfunction, given its role in dopamine-mediated signaling and cellular homeostasis.

Dopamine Receptor D5 (DRD5) Antibody
DRD5 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against DRD5. This gene encodes the D5 subtype of the dopamine receptor. The D5 subtype is a G-protein coupled receptor which stimulates adenylyl cyclase. This receptor is expressed in neurons in the limbic regions of the brain. It has a 10-fold higher affinity for dopamine than the D1 subtype. Pseudogenes related to this gene reside on chromosomes 1 and 2. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].
