Background

ANXA1 is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein that plays a critical role in anti-inflammatory responses and cell signaling. It regulates the resolution of inflammation by inhibiting the release of pro-inflammatory mediators and modulating the activity of phospholipase A2 (PLA2). ANXA1 also influences cellular processes such as apoptosis, phagocytosis, and membrane repair.
