Angiopoietin 2 Protein is a recombinant Rabbit protein expressed in E. coli.
Angiogenin 2 (ANG2), also known as Angiopoietin 2 (ANGPT2), plays a role in facilitating ribonuclease activity and is involved in various cellular processes, including cardiac muscle cell development, responses to glucose stimulus, and the positive regulation of protein phosphorylation. It exhibits a strong binding affinity to placental ribonuclease inhibitor but possesses very low ribonuclease activity itself. ANG2 is notably potent in promoting angiogenesis, contributing to the vascularization of both normal and malignant tissues. One of its significant functions is the inhibition of protein synthesis through the specific hydrolysis of cellular transfer RNAs (tRNAs). It is recognized by several aliases, including ANG2, Angiopoietin 2, ANG-2, ANGPT2, and AGPT2.
