Descripción

RAB25, member RAS oncogene family (RAB25) is a small GTPase that plays a significant role in regulating vesicular trafficking, particularly in the recycling of proteins and lipids within cellular compartments RAB25 is involved in various cellular processes, including the sorting and transport of membrane proteins between endosomes and the plasma membrane, ensuring proper cellular signaling and homeostasis It has been implicated in controlling the movement of integrins, which are crucial for maintaining cell adhesion and migration, especially in epithelial cells RAB25’s role in regulating membrane dynamics also links it to cancer biology, where its dysfunction may contribute to abnormal cell migration, invasion, and metastasis Furthermore, RAB25 has been shown to participate in processes like ciliogenesis, where it regulates the trafficking of proteins to the cilia, impacting cellular signaling pathways related to growth and differentiation RAB25’s involvement in both cancer progression and normal cellular function makes it a potential target for therapeutic intervention, particularly in cancers where altered vesicular trafficking plays a role in tumor progression

RAB25, Member RAS Oncogene Family (Rab25) Antibody

Members of the Ras-related superfamily of GTP binding proteins, which includes Ras, Rho, Rab and ARF subfamilies, exhibit 30-50% similarity with Ras p21. Rab proteins play an important role for either in endocytosis or in biosynthetic protein transport. The possibility that Rab proteins might also direct the exocytosis from secretory vesicles to the plasma membrane is supported by the observation that in yeast, the SEC4 protein, which is 40% similar to Rab proteins, is associated with secretory vesicles. Rab proteins located on the cytoplasmic face of organelles and vesicles, rab proteins are involved in intracellular membrane fusion reactions. Rab25 was cloned from a gastric parietal cell cDNA library and is expressed in epithelial tissues such as the gastrointestinal mucosae, kidney, and lung, which encoded a protein of 28 kDa.

RAB25, Member RAS Oncogene Family (RAB25) Antibody

RAB proteins, such as RAB25, are members of the RAS superfamily of small GTPases that are involved in membrane trafficking. Members of the RAB11 subfamily, including RAB25, control the return of internalized membrane-associated moieties to the cell surface (Caswell et al., 2007 [PubMed 17925226]).[supplied by OMIM].
