Description
YES is a member of the Src family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases participating in a wide range of cellular signalling pathways. The gene that encodes YES is the cellular homolog of the Yamaguchi sarcoma virus oncogene. This gene lies in proximity to thymidylate synthase gene on chromosome 18, and a pseudogene of it has mapped to chromosome 22.

YES1-Specific antibody
YES1, also named as p61-Yes and YES, belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, Tyr protein kinase family and SRC subfamily. It promotes infectivity of Neisseria gonorrhoeae in epithelial cells by phosphorylating MCP/CD46. YES1 catalyzes the reaction: ATP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine = ADP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine phosphate. The antibody is specific to YES1.
