Descripción

MYBPC2 is primarily localized in fast-twitch skeletal muscles, where it plays a pivotal role in regulating sarcomere assembly and ensuring efficient muscle contraction during rapid and high-force activities. This protein associates with the thick filaments and modulates the interactions between myosin and actin filaments, contributing to the functional stability of the sarcomere under dynamic conditions.
