Mouse Serpin A9 (SERPINA9) Protein is a recombinant protein produced in Sf9, Baculovirus cells.
SERPINA9 is a member of the serpin (serine protease inhibitor) superfamily, which is a group of proteins known for their ability to inhibit proteases and regulate a variety of physiological processes, including inflammation, coagulation, and immune responses. SERPINA9, also referred to as Centerin or GCET1 (Germinal Center B-cell Expressed Transcript 1), is particularly interesting because of its specific expression in germinal center B-cells, suggesting a role in the immune system, particularly in B-cell maturation and function. The SERPINA9 gene is located on chromosome 14q32.13, within a cluster of other serpin genes. The gene is composed of multiple exons and introns, characteristic of the serpin superfamily, and encodes a protein that is approximately 46 kDa in size.
