This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

PICK1 antibody

Probable adapter protein that bind to and organize the subcellular localization of a variety of membrane proteins containing some PDZ recognition sequence. Involved in the clustering of various receptors, possibly by acting at the receptor internalization level. Plays a role in synaptic plasticity by regulating the trafficking and internalization of AMPA receptors. May be regulated upon PRKCA activation. May regulate ASIC1/ASIC3 channel. Regulates actin polymerization by inhibiting the actin-nucleating activity of the Arp2/3 complex; the function is competetive with nucleation promoting factors and is linked to neuronal morphology regulation and AMPA receptor(AMPAR) endocytosis. Via interaction with the Arp2/3 complex involved in regulation of synaptic plasicity of excitatory synapses and required for spine shrinkage during long-term depression(LTD). Involved in regulation of astrocyte morphology, antagonistic to Arp2/3 complex activator WASL/N-WASP function.

Protein Interacting With Protein Kinase C Alpha 1 (PICK1) Antibody

PICK1 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against PICK1. Protein interacting with C kinase 1 (PICK1) is a PDZ-domain containing protein that is located in the perinuclear region and is phosphorylated in response to PKCå activation. PKCå, which is essential for the regulation of proliferation and differentiation in numerous cell types, contains within its catalytic region a PDZ-binding domain that is absent from other PKC isoforms. Mutation of the PICK1 PDZ domain inhibits the binding of PICK1 to PKCå. PICK1 also interacts with the carboxy terminus of a-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-isoxazole-4-propionic acid (AMPA) receptor, a neurotransmitter receptor located at excitatory synapses, suggesting that PICK1 plays a role in the modulation of synaptic transmission by targeting and anchoring AMPA to specific synapses.
