Background

C-C Chemokine Receptor Type 10 (CCR10) is a G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that binds to two chemokine ligands: CCL27 and CCL28. CCR10 is highly relevant in the context of allergic diseases, autoimmune skin conditions, and cancer, where dysregulated expression enables tumor cells to evade immune responses or promote metastasis. In cancers, such as melanoma and breast cancer, CCR10 has been associated with tumor progression due to its role in immune cell trafficking and metastasis to skin and mucosal tissues. CCR10 is also a potential target for immunotherapy, as inhibiting its signaling pathway could reduce chronic inflammation or prevent tumor immune escape. Thus, CCR10 is a critical chemokine receptor bridging immunity, inflammation, and oncology, making it a promising candidate for therapeutic interventions.
