Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
Acyl-CoA Thioesterase 10 (ACOT10) is an enzyme that hydrolyzes acyl-CoA thioesters into free fatty acids and coenzyme A (CoA), playing a critical role in lipid metabolism and energy homeostasis. ACOT10 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and is expressed in tissues with high metabolic activity, such as the liver and adipose tissue. It exhibits substrate specificity for medium- and long-chain fatty acyl-CoA esters, participating in processes such as fatty acid oxidation and lipid signaling. By regulating the intracellular levels of acyl-CoA and free fatty acids, ACOT10 influences metabolic flexibility and protects cells from the toxic accumulation of fatty acyl-CoA intermediates. ACOT10 plays a role in the detoxification of reactive fatty acid derivatives, contributing to cellular lipid balance and oxidative stress management. Dysregulation of ACOT10 has been linked to metabolic disorders such as obesity, insulin resistance, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
