Form
Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in 20 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in 20 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex.

This gene encodes a thiamine-dependent enzyme which plays a role in the channeling of excess sugar phosphates to glycolysis in the pentose phosphate pathway. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.

TKT antibody

Transketolase is a key pentose phosphate shunt enzyme that plays an important role in the production of reducing equivalents and pentose sugars. Decreased activity of transketolase has been found in patients with Alzheimer’s disease and thiamine deficiency. In addition, as an important biocatalyst in stereo-specific carbon-carbon bond synthesis, transketolase has been widely used in industry to produce aromatic products.
