NoteValidity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

Receptor Activity Modifying Protein 3 (RAMP3) is a key protein that interacts with GPCRs, particularly the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR), to form the adrenomedullin 2/intermedin receptor. RAMP3 is widely expressed in tissues like the heart, kidneys, lungs, and endothelial cells, where it regulates cardiovascular homeostasis, fluid balance, and angiogenesis. By facilitating the interaction between CRLR and adrenomedullin 2, RAMP3 promotes vasodilation, anti-inflammatory effects, and cardioprotective mechanisms. RAMP3 signaling plays a significant role in protecting against cardiac hypertrophy, heart failure, and ischemic injuries by enhancing vascular remodeling and reducing oxidative stress. Furthermore, RAMP3 is involved in bone metabolism and calcium homeostasis through its modulation of calcitonin receptor signaling. Recent studies highlight its role in cancer biology, where RAMP3-mediated signaling can support tumor angiogenesis and metastasis in certain cancers. RAMP3 also participates in the regulation of G-protein signaling and receptor trafficking, influencing receptor localization and activity at the cell membrane. Targeting RAMP3 pathways has shown therapeutic potential for managing cardiovascular diseases, cancer progression, and conditions requiring vascular repair, offering promising directions for clinical research and drug development.

Plays a role in cardioprotection by reducing cardiac hypertrophy and perivascular fibrosis in a GPER1-dependent manner. Transports the calcitonin gene-related peptide type 1 receptor(CALCRL) and GPER1 to the plasma membrane. Acts as a receptor for adrenomedullin(AM) together with CALCRL.

Receptor Activity Modifying Protein 3 (RAMP3) Antibody

RAMP3 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against RAMP3. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the RAMP family of single-transmembrane-domain proteins, called receptor (calcitonin) activity modifying proteins (RAMPs). RAMPs are type I transmembrane proteins with an extracellular N terminus and a cytoplasmic C terminus. RAMPs are required to transport calcitonin-receptor-like receptor (CRLR) to the plasma membrane. CRLR, a receptor with seven transmembrane domains, can function as either a calcitonin-gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor or an adrenomedullin receptor, depending on which members of the RAMP family are expressed. In the presence of this (RAMP3) protein, CRLR functions as an adrenomedullin receptor.
