Descripción
FCGR1A (Fc gamma receptor Ia), also known as CD64, is a high-affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies. It plays a crucial role in immune responses by binding to the Fc portion of IgG, mediating various immune functions such as phagocytosis, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and immune complex clearance. FCGR1A is predominantly expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells, as well as on neutrophils during inflammatory responses. The interaction between FCGR1A and IgG antibodies bridges innate and adaptive immunity, facilitating the elimination of pathogens and other foreign particles. It is also critical in the regulation of immune responses by modulating inflammatory signals. FCGR1A is involved in the recognition of opsonized particles, initiating signaling cascades that result in cytokine production, phagocytosis, and the clearance of immune complexes.
