FZD3 is a member of the Frizzled family involved primarily in non-canonical Wnt signaling pathways, including planar cell polarity (PCP) and Wnt/Ca2+ signaling. It is highly expressed in the nervous system, particularly during embryonic development, where it regulates axon guidance, neural crest cell migration, and synapse formation.
