The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

ACTB, also known as beta-actin, is a highly conserved protein that serves as a fundamental component of the cytoskeleton in eukaryotic cells. Beta-actin is involved in various cellular processes, including cell structure, motility, and intracellular transport. Beta-actin forms filamentous structures, along with other actin isoforms, which constitute the cytoskeleton. This dynamic network of filaments provides structural support to the cell and is involved in cell shape determination and mechanical stability, motility and migration. It participates in the formation of cell protrusions such as lamellipodia and filopodia, which are essential for cell movement. Beta-actin also plays a role in cell division, where it is involved in cytokinesis, the process of cell division following nuclear division. Furthermore, beta-actin is involved in intracellular transport processes, serving as a track for myosin motor proteins to transport cargo within the cell. This function is essential for the movement of vesicles, organelles, and other cellular components along the cytoskeleton.

Beta Actin (ACTB) Antibody

Beta actin Antibody is a Mouse Monoclonal antibody against Bet actin. Beta Actin, also named as ACTB and F-Actin, belongs to the actin family. Actins are highly conserved globular proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. At least six isoforms of actins are known in mammals and other vertebrates: alpha (ACTC1, cardiac muscle 1), alpha 1 (ACTA1, skeletal muscle) and 2 (ACTA2, aortic smooth muscle), beta (ACTB), gamma 1 (ACTG1) and 2 (ACTG2, enteric smooth muscle). Beta and gamma 1 are two non-muscle actin proteins. Most actins consist of 376aa, while ACTG2 (rich in muscles) has 375aa and ACTG1(found in non-muscle cells) has only 374aa. Beta Actin has been widely used as the internal control in RT-PCR and Western Blotting as a 42-kDa protein. This antibody was generated by full length beta actin protein and can cross-react with other actins.
