ADAM29 is a member of the ADAM family of proteins, which are involved in various cellular processes such as cell adhesion, migration, proteolysis, and signaling. Like other ADAM proteins, ADAM29 likely contains multiple functional domains. May be is involved in spermatogenesis and fertilization. Seems to be a non catalytic metalloprotease-like protein.The expression pattern and specific functions of ADAM29 are not as well-characterized as some other members of the ADAM family. However, based on limited available data, ADAM29 expression has been reported in certain tissues and cell types.
