Gab2 Cell ELISA Kit is a cell-based ELISA Kit. Cells to be assayed should be seeded onto a clear flat bottom 96 well plate, using poly-L-lysine for non-adherent cells. Cells should be grown to 75-90% confluence and treated prior to carrying out the ELISA.
Background
GAB2 is a key adaptor protein that links receptor tyrosine kinases and cytokine receptors to intracellular signaling cascades, including PI3K/Akt, MAPK, and STAT pathways. It is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cells, where it regulates immune cell activation, differentiation, and cytokine signaling. GAB2 interacts with GRB2, SHP2, and PI3K to modulate immune responses, hematopoiesis, and mast cell degranulation. Dysregulation of GAB2 is associated with inflammatory diseases, autoimmunity, and cancer, particularly leukemia, breast cancer, and melanoma, where it enhances cell proliferation, survival, and migration. Knockout studies highlight defects in immune cell activation, mast cell responses, and hematopoietic development, demonstrating its importance in immune regulation.
